Space-time scan statistic using a cylinder scanning windows with variations in the height (time) and location (spatial component). The space-time scan statistic that aims at detecting clusters in space and time in which the observed number of cases is significantly higher than the expected number of cases, under the null hypothesis of space-time randomness.
