The Fort Stanwix Administrative History: A Superintendent's Perspective

Mike Caldwell
An eighteen-year career veteran of the NPS. Since 2005 he has served as Superintendent of Valley Forge National Historical Park in Pennsylvania. Caldwell came to Valley Forge from Fort Stanwix National Monument in Rome, New York, where he served from 2001 to 2004 as superintendent. A second-generation NPS employee, Caldwell holds a bachelor's degree in political science and American history from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master's degree in public administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
