Diversity, Dialogue, and the Sociology of Development: Introduction to the Special Issue Available to Purchase

The papers in this special issue bring attention to ontological and epistemological innovations. Their sociological perspectives address four current development issues: the conceptual transformation of health coverage; violence against women; social inclusion; and agency among vulnerable and marginalized domestic workers. Separately and together, they show that the path toward social dignity and advancement is best served by examining the forces that transcend any particular social sphere or epoch across the globe.
