Welcome to V 1.3 of Sociology of Development. This issue, and the next, are limited to three articles each, due to yearly page constraints resulting from the large number (13) of articles contained in our inaugural issues. We are very pleased with the journal's progress, both in the number and quality of submissions, and thank those of you who have promoted the journal to your colleagues. Thanks also to the University of California Press for their continued support.
A couple of highlights we would like to bring to your attention. Two special issues are in the works. The first, to be published next year, is edited by Matthew Sanderson (Kansas State) and explores the relationship between migration and development. The second, scheduled for 2017, is co-edited by Nitsan Chorev and Andrew Schrank (Brown) and focuses on the origins, organization, and impacts of professionals and the professions in the Global...
