Gerald Horne holds the Moores Profe:essorship of History and African American studies at University of Houston. He has authored more than thirty books, including Jazz and Justic Racism and the Political Economy of the Music, and is currently researching U.S.-Southern African relations since the so-called “Anglo-Boer War” and the political economy of jazz from the 19th century to the present.
