Ken Bernstein is a principal planner for the Los Angeles Department of City Planning and manager of the city’s Office of Historic Resources. He also oversees the department’s Urban Design Studio and is the author of Preserving Los Angeles: How Historic Places Can Transform America’s Cities (Angel City Press, 2021).
