Ana Elizabeth Rosas is an associate professor of history and Chicano/Latino Studies at the University of California, Irvine. She is the author of Abrazando El Espiritu: Bracero Families Confront the US-Mexico Border, and is currently researching the emotively historical and gendered configuration and impact of continuous displacement on Mexican immigrant family life in Mexico and the United States.
