Rafael Frumkin is the author of three books: The Comedown (2018), Confidence (2023), and Bugsy (forthcoming in 2024). His work has been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Paris Review, Granta, Guernica, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, and elsewhere. He lives in Carbondale, where he is a professor of creative writing at Southern Illinois University.
