Renata Kobetts Miller is Professor of English and Deputy Dean of Humanities and the Arts at the City College of New York. She is the author of Recent Reinterpretations of Stevenson’s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Why and How This Novel Continues to Affect Us (2005) and The Victorian Actress in the Novel and on the Stage (2019). She has recently published essays in The Oxford Handbook of Adaptation Studies, edited by Thomas Leitch (2017), and Victorian Culture and the Origin of Disciplines, edited by Bernard Lightman and Bennett Zon (2019). She is currently working on a book about the influence of the Independent Theatre Society in fin-de-siècle London.
