Stefan Waldschmidt received his Ph.D. in English from Duke University in 2017. His essays have appeared in Nineteenth-Century Contexts (2016) and Victorian Studies (2014). He is currently writing a monograph based on his dissertation, “The Complete Bentham: Rationality’s Afterlife in Victorian Literature.”
