Zach Hutchins is Assistant Professor of English at Colorado State University, where he teaches courses in early American literature and culture. He is the author of Inventing Eden: Primitivism, Millennialism, and the Making of New England (2014). His essays on the intersections of nineteenth-century religion and literature have appeared in journals such as ELH, Nineteenth-Century Literature, and Early American Studies, among others.
