Sharon M. Harris is Professor Emerita in the Department of English at the University of Connecticut-Storrs. She is author of Dr. Mary Walker: An American Radical (2009) and coeditor, with Linda K. Hughes, of A Feminist Reader: Feminist Thought from Sappho to Satrapi (2013). She is currently working on a critical study titled “Diagnosing America: Medical Culture and Nineteenth-Century U.S. Literature”; a biography titled “Rebecca Harding Davis: A Life Among Writers”; and a digital project, the “Rebecca Harding Davis Archives.”
