Andrew Paxman is a Research Professor in the History Division at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) in Mexico. He is author of the forthcoming Jenkins of Mexico (Oxford University Press), a biography of the Puebla-based industrialist William O. Jenkins (1878–1963), and co-author with Claudia Fernández of El Tigre: Emilio Azcárraga y su imperio Televisa (Grijalbo, 2000; rev. ed. 2013).
