Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Châm is the Director of the Cultural Studies Institute in Vietnam. Her research focuses on cultural change and urbanization processes, international marriage, and the experiences of women. She is the author of ten books and forty-five articles published in Vietnam, including Nghi lễ hôn nhân của người Kinh ở Trung Quốc: trường hợp làng Vạn Vĩ (Giang Bình, Đông Hưng, Quảng Tây, Trung Quốc [Living in a Foreign Land: Cultural Experiences of Vietnamese Women Married to Chinese Men in Wanwei (Dongxing, Guangxi, China)] and Làng ven đô và sự biến đổi văn hóa-trường hợp làng Xuân Đỉnh, huyện Từ Liêm, thành phố Hà Nội [Village on the Edge of Hà Nội and Culture Changes (Case study in Xuân Đỉnh, Từ Liêm district, Hà Nội)].
