The Journal of Religion and Popular Culture (JRPC) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to exploring the dynamic interactions between religion, spirituality, and popular culture in contemporary societies. We provide a platform for innovative scholarship that critically examines how religious beliefs, practices, and identities are represented, negotiated, and constructed through various forms of popular culture, including film, television, music, literature, digital media, art, fashion, and more.
JRPC welcomes submissions from scholars across disciplines and from diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s Author Guidelines prior to submission. Upon acceptance, all authors will be required to sign an Author Agreement.
Journal of Religion and Popular Culture also welcomes proposals for special issues or special series.
Please direct any editorial inquiries to the Editor-in-Chief, David Feltmate at [email protected].
