The interview, conducted in English, took place in Ankara on 13 February 2013, and was published in MDF no. 95. Michel Nawfal wrote the introduction, which was translated from the Arabic by Jenab Tutunji.
This memoir recounts how a young, idealistic Turk came to participate in the Palestinian Resistance in the wake of his government's crackdown on Turkey's leftist and student movement in the early 1970s. In describing the two years he spent in refugee and training camps in Syria and especially Lebanon, he provides a window on life in the Resistance at a crucial time in its history and gives a sense of its international dimension and appeal.
