On Palestinian Studies and Queer Theory

Nadine Naber is an associate professor in the Gender and Women's Studies Program and the Global Asian Studies Program at University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as the founding director of the university's Arab American Cultural Center. She is the author of Arab America: Gender, Cultural Politics, and Activism (New York: NYU Press, 2012) and a coeditor of a number of books on the Arab American experience.

Sa'ed Atshan is an assistant professor of peace and conflict studies at Swarthmore College. He previously served as a postdoctoral fellow in international studies at Brown University and earned a PhD in anthropology and Middle Eastern studies from Harvard University.

Nadia Awad is a visual artist and filmmaker. She has written articles on Palestinian cinema for Camera Obscura and the New Inquiry, and has presented her work at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts gallery, the Arab American Cultural Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the Brooklyn Museum.

Maya Mikdashi is assistant professor of women, gender, and sexuality studies at Rutgers University where she also teaches in the Middle Eastern Studies Program.

Sofian Merabet teaches in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dorgham Abusalim is the online content editor at the Institute for Palestine Studies in Washington, DC. He earned his MA in international affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. He edits and writes for the IPS blog Palestine Square, and his work has also appeared in Mondoweiss and Haaretz.

Nada Elia teaches Arab American studies at Western Washington University, and is currently completing a book on solidarity politics.
