Journal of Medieval Worlds (JMW) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, online journal that aims to foster research on underrepresented areas of the medieval world, broadly defined, as well as publish articles that explore interconnections across regions and cultures. The journal encourages submissions from scholars working in the following regions and languages therein during the period 750-1600 CE:
- Japan, China, Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, East and West Africa, North Africa, Oceans and Seas, the Americas, Middle East and Levant, and Europe, including Northern and Eastern Europe.
JMW welcomes contributions that explore the following fields and topics:
- Comparative Medieval Approaches and Conditions, Ecology, Environment, Food and Agriculture, Gender, Sexuality, Health, Migration, Travel, Architecture and Urban Design, Music and Performance, Comparative Literature, Politics, Religion, Science and Technology, and Stateless Societies
Authors are asked to review Journal of Medieval World's author guidelines prior to submission.
