The Journal of Musicology (JM) welcomes articles in all areas of musical scholarship, including history, criticism, analysis, performance practice, and archival research. JM cannot consider articles that have been published elsewhere or are under consideration by another journal. The Journal’s peer-review process is double-blind; JM promises an unbiased reading of submissions.

Authors are required to review the journal's Author Guidelines prior to submission. Authors whose work is accepted for publication are required to sign an author agreement.
