Ulrike Schaede is a professor in the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego. Her book The Business Reinvention of Japan: How to Make Sense of the New Japan and Why It Matters (Stanford, 2020) won the 2021 Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Prize as well as the 2021 U.S. Axiom Business Book Award (silver medal, “Economics”). In 2022, it was published in Japanese as 再興 THE KAISHA 日本のビジネス˙リインベンション (Nikkei BP).
