Kristin Roebuck is an assistant professor in the Department of History at Cornell University. She is author of a forthcoming monograph entitled “Japan Reborn: Race, Sex, and Eugenics from Empire to Cold War,” and her recent publications include “Science without Borders? War, Empire, and the Contested Science of ‘Race Mixing’ in Japan, East Asia, and the West,” in Bridges, Sharma, and Sterling, eds., Who is the Asianist? The Politics of Representation in Asian Studies (Columbia, 2022).
