Todd A. Henry is an associate professor of history at the University of California San Diego. He is editor of Queer Korea (Duke, 2020) and is completing a book monograph entitled “Profits of Queerness: Media, Medicine, and Citizenship in Authoritarian South Korea, 1950–1980.” His current research focuses on queer and diasporic histories of late-authoritarian South Korea as well as Japanese and Euro-American sex tourism in the postcolonial Asia-Pacific.
