Ecomusicology between Apocalypse and Nostalgia
ALEXANDER REHDING is Fanny Peabody Professor of Music at Harvard University and has recently finished his term as editor of Acta musicologica. He is the author, most recently, of Music and Monumentality: Commemoration and Wonderment in Nineteenth-Century Germany (Oxford University Press, 2009) and coeditor of the Oxford Handbook of Neo-Riemannian Music Theories (2011). Beside ecomusicology, current research interests include ancient Greek music theory and media aesthetics.
