KELLEY HARNESS is Associate Professor of Musicology at the University of Minnesota. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Seventeenth-Century Music and author of Echoes of Women's Voices: Music, Art, and Female Patronage in Early Modern Florence (University of Chicago Press, 2006). Her current research projects include studies on seventeenth-century Florentine equestrian entertainments and sixteenth- and seventeenth-century theatrical intermedi.
