The Project is a long term conceptual art project that documents and categorizes stray shopping carts based on the situations in which they are found. The overarching goal was to look at the ways in which language and scientific systems of classification shape our perception of things. Thousands of stray carts have been catalogued and categorized into thirty-three types. The two man types are Class A: False Carts and Class B: True Carts. Photographs from the project are included in the article.
