Denai Moore’s Plentiful: Vegan Jamaican Recipes to Repeat is one of the newest cookbook offerings on Jamaican food and vegan food. Moore is a chef and musician, and Plentiful is a book that speaks both to where Moore is and where she’s been, as much as one that meets the vegan or vegan-curious cookbook reader where they are. Inside, the book is as warm and vibrant as its front cover. Moore takes us through recipes influenced by her life and travels, a type of culinary diary in which we get to intimately share. Plentiful is influenced by Moore’s memories, “something I missed or craved, and then recreated that memory in a new way, without recipes, just from my intuition.
