David Bacon is a California writer and photographer, documenting labor, the global economy, war and migration, and the struggle for human rights. He was an organizer for the United Farm Workers, and for two decades has covered conditions for farmworkers in cooperation with California Rural Legal Assistance and the Binational Front of Indigenous Organizations. His latest book, The Right to Stay Home (Beacon Press, 2013), discusses alternatives to forced migration and the criminalization of migrants.
