Mary Morris has spent her life cultivating an ardent appreciation of food in all its forms and textures—with the significant exception of mashed potatoes. Her poetry and prose have been previously published in Carve Magazine and Booth. She holds an MFA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and is currently the lead English instructor at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Illinois. She lives in the wilds of Clay County, Illinois, with her husband and daughter.
