The Story of Tomatoes: How Picking Tomatoes Taught Me the Art and Attitude of Social Change
Laura Titzer uses food and agriculture as a way to inspire people to think about their community, their economy, and the world around them. She grew up in Indiana where she co-founded the Indianapolis Food, Farm and Family Coalition. She has also worked with local and government agencies promoting local food in Wisconsin. Laura currently holds an MA in Environment and Community and resides in Seattle, Washington. She works with food banks/pantries across the state at Northwest Harvest and has served as the Food Justice Project Co-Chair at Community Alliance for Global Justice. Laura spends her time thinking about how we can create a truly sustainable and equitable food system for everyone.
