How to Love Yourself After Work

shelly errington doodled in class throughout her childhood. Her style and subject matter matured in graduate school and especially at various Institutes and Centers (one each, actually), conferences, workshops, and colloquia. Her drawings tend to use minimalist expressive line to make visible highly abstract ideas—or sometimes just to make ironic commentary. An anthropologist, she lately has concentrated on teaching about matters visual, digital, audible, and embodied, and she recently completed a documentary video on artisans in Mexico called El Oficio del Arte (The WORK of Art). She is pleased and grateful that she has excellent colleagues in her department at UC Santa Cruz.
