toby binder graduated from the Stuttgart Academy of Art and Design, where he studied communication design and photography. His work focuses on environmental and social issues. Early travels took him to Africa, where he documented maternal mortality in Sierra Leone and children stigmatized as witches in Nigeria. He has since supported the underprivileged and marginalized in Eastern Europe and Latin America through his sensitive photographic portrayals.
