vijaysree venkatraman is a native of Madras, South India, who now makes her home in Boston. An inorganic chemist, she analyzed sequencing data for the Human Genome Project at mit for over four years. She is a graduate of the science journalism program at Boston University and also a food writer. Her work has appeared in many newspapers and magazines, including the New Scientist, the Christian Science Monitor, and Madras Musings.
