MaryEllen (Ellie) Higgins is an associate professor of English at the Pennsylvania State University. Her books include Hollywood's Africa after 1994 and the coedited The Western in the Global South. She has published articles on African films in Research in African Literatures, African Studies Review, and African Literature Today, among other scholarly venues.
