SWAGATO CHAKRAVORTY is a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Art, combined with Film and Media Studies, at Yale University. His dissertation surveys the moving image in contemporary art, focusing on the work of artists from the global South that intersects with documentary, archival, and performance-based practices. He is currently a curatorial fellow at the New Museum in New York.
