Johannes Von Moltke is Associate Professor of German and Screen Arts & Cultures at the University of Michigan. He is the author of No Place Like Home: Locations of Heimat in German Cinema (University of California Press, 2005), and is currently working on a book about fi lm, history, and emotion.
