ABSTRACT There's not much narrative complexity to Michael Winterbottom's 9 Songs. A couple meets, has lots of sex, goes to lots of concerts, and then splits up.However, the film's simple structure belies its provocative challenge to the boundaries of porn and mainstream cinema with sex scenes that are real, not faked.
