Mariann Lewinsky is a programmer and film historian based in Zurich. She is a member of the program committee for the festival Il Cinema Ritrovato, a capacity in which she organizes and curates the “100 Years Ago” [Cento anni fa] program. She also curates and helps to organize programs dedicated to women in silent cinema. These have focused on Mary Murillo, Valentina Frascaroli (2015), Rosa Porten (2014), Germaine Dulac (2014, 2006), Olga Preobrazhenskaya (2013), Lois Weber (2012), Alice Guy (2011), and Lois Weber, Berta Nelson, and Musidora (2011). With the Cineteca di Bologna, she has edited DVDs featuring Francesca Bertini and Lyda Borelli. Lewinsky produced the DVD One Hundred Years Ago: Comic Actresses and Suffragettes, 1910–1914 (2010). Her film Ella Maillart: Double Journey (codirected with Antonio Bigini, 2015) is now available on DVD.
