The author describes creating a new collaborative high school in Grenada. She explains the key features of effective collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and the community. This commentary highlights the challenges of reframing education to emphasize cooperation and effective school culture-building, reclaim the purpose of education, and avoid reproduction of colonial models of schooling. The commentary follows up on an interview in this journal, 45 (2–3).
