Being Indigenous is a key influence for my work. Growing up, and still to this day, I find there is a lack of good representation of Indigenous people in media and in fine art.

Most of my work doesn’t have a particular meaning tightly attached to it, but I try to explore Indigenous experience through not only highlighting when our communities are in pain but also allowing space for rest and softness especially with the pressure to always be strong and resilient.

I try to focus my pieces on giving a more accurate and diverse representation of Indigenous people, specifically Indigenous femmes through digital art and oil paintings. I have created a number of pieces that speak directly to various issues impacting Native communities, such as MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women), residential schools, and water rights.
