Felipe Agüero is an assistant professor of political science at Ohio State University, He is the author of Soldiers, Civilians, and Democracy: Post-Franco Spain in Comparative Perspective (Baltimore, Md.: Johns Hopkins University Press, 1995), and coeditor, with Jeffrey Stark, of Fault Lines of Democratic Governance in the Americas (Miami, Fla.: North-South Center Press, University of Miami, 1998).
