Sidney Weintraub is Dean Rusk Professor of International Affairs at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin; he also holds the William Simon Chair in Political Economy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. His most recent book is NAFTA: What Comes Next? (Westport, Conn.: Praeger, 1994). He is the author of A Marriage of Convenience: Relations Between Mexico and the United States (New York: Oxford University Press, 1990).
