Christopher Cramer is a political economist based in London. He is a former Southern Africa editor for the Economist Intelligence Unit (eiv); he has taught economics in Mozambique and coordinated economics training programs in South Africa. In 1993 he served as director of training for the South African-based Macroeconomic Research Group (mergs). He is currently teaching at the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University.
