Michael Chege, currently a visiting scholar at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, served as a Ford Foundation program officer in charge of governance and international affairs in eastern and southern Africa between 1988 and February 1994. Before that, he was director of the Institute of International Studies at the University of Nairobi.
