The Muslim Face of China

Dru C. Gladney is an associate professor of Asian studies at the University of Hawaii and a research fellow at the university’s East-West Center. The author’s travel to Xinjiang this May and June was funded by the American Research Institute in Turkey. His publications include Muslim Chinese: Ethnic Nationalism in the People’s Republic (Cambridge: Harvard University Press, 1991).
