Brazil’s Struggle with Democracy

Carlos Eduardo Lins da Silva, the United States correspondent for the Brazilian daily newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, is currently a visiting scholar at Georgetown University. He was a Woodrow Wilson Center fellow in 1987-1988 and has been a part-time professor at the University of Sao Paulo since 1977.
