Cynthia McCuntock is a professor of political science at George Washington University. She is the author of Peasant Cooperatives and Political Change in Peru (Princeton, N.J.: Princeton University Press, 1981) and with Abraham Lowenthal, co-editor of The Peruvian Experiment Reconsidered (Princeton, N.J.: Princeton University Press, 1983). She is presently completing a book comparing the origins of revolutionary movements in Peru and El Salvador.
