Lenard J. Cohen is a professor of political science at Simon Fraser University in Canada. His boohs include Political Cohesion in a Fragile Mosaic: The Yugoslav Experience (Boulder, Col.: Westview Press, 1983), and The Socialist Pyramid: Elites and Power in Yugoslavia (Oakville, Ontario: Mosaic Press, 1989). He is currently completing Broken Bonds: The Disintegration of the Yugoslav State (Boulder, Col.: Westview Press, forthcoming).
