Gillian Peele is a fellow and tutor in politics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, and the author of several books on American politics. Her publications include Revival and Reaction: The Right in Contemporary America (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1984) and Developments in American Politics (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1992).
