Uldis Kruze is the academic coordinator of the Pacific Rim studies program at the University of San Francisco. He has written on Japanese relations with China and with Iran. His most recent work is a translation of Fan Kang, An Economic History of the Major Capitalist Countries: A Chinese View (Armonk, N.Y.: M.E. Sharpe, forthcoming, 1991).
