Stability in Saudi Arabia

David Long, on tour of duty from the Department of State, is acting head of the department of humanities at the United States Coast Guard Academy. He has spent most of his government career focusing on the Middle East and is the author of The United States and Saudi Arabia: Ambivalent Allies (Boulder, Col.: Westview Press, 1985) and The Anatomy of Terrorism (New York: The Free Press, 1990).
